Mahmoud Hafez is a Professor of Orthopaedics at October 6 University, Egypt and Honorary Visiting Prof at Cardiff University, UK. He is a pioneer and developer of patient-specific instruments (PSI) technology for total knee arthroplasty. He has more than 22 patents and over 100 scientific publications including 24 book chapters and editorials. He is a member of Int Council of SICOT, executive committee member of CAOS and head of medical innovation at IFIA. He got the Hap Paul Award from ISTA  and UK Alumni Award from British Council and several innovations awards
