
MY, MalaysiaDr Ahmad Fauzey graduated from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, in 2000 and began his orthopaedic career at Hospital Alor Setar in 2001. He later earned his Specialist Degree in Orthopaedics from Universiti Sains Malaysia before completing subspecialty training under the Malaysian Ministry of Health, including a fellowship at Singapore General Hospital. There, he received advanced training in the direct anterior approach for hip replacement and navigation/robotic-assisted knee arthroplasty.
He previously serves the northern region of Malaysia, specialising in primary, complex primary, and revision surgery for hip and knee. He was also involved in Malaysian Ministry of Health arthroplasty subspeciality programme both as a trainer and examiner. His clinical interests include the direct anterior hip approach, which promotes less pain and faster recovery and robotic knee and hip replacement surgery to improve surgical precision while minimising soft tissue injury. Currently working in Sunway Medical Centre Penang, he provides robotic knee and hip replacement surgery in northern Malaysia, while maintaining his interest in revision knee and hip surgery.
