Associate Professor Claudia Di Bella is an academic orthopaedic oncology surgeon at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. Trained at the Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute in Italy, she moved to Australia in 2010 and obtained FRACS in 2013. She leads translational research in tissue engineering and bone sarcoma, securing more than AUD $6 million in competitive funding, including an NHMRC–MRFF Clinical Investigator Grant. One of Australia’s few orthopaedic oncology surgeons, she specialises in limb salvage surgery and complex arthroplasty. A passionate mentor and advocate for diversity and inclusion, she supports the next generation of surgeons and researchers.
